Netflix wants a lot of Gabriel “Fluffy†Iglesias. According to Variety, the streaming network has ordered two standup specials from Iglesias as well 10 episodes of a multi-cam series titled Mr. Iglesias. In the series, the comedian plays “a good-natured public high school teacher who works at his alma mater. He takes on teaching gifted but misfit kids to not only save them from being ‘counseled out’ by a bully bureaucrat Assistant Principal, but also to help them unlock their full potential.†As for the standup specials, the first will be taped during Iglesias’s current world tour, with the second taped at a later date. His last standup special, I’m Sorry for What I Said When I Was Hungry, also premiered on Netflix back in 2016.
