Hulu just added a bunch of animated comedies to its offerings, including Mike Judge and Greg Daniels’s Emmy-nominated show King of the Hill. According to Deadline, all 13 seasons of the series hit the streaming network yesterday, alongside Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, American Dad!, The Cleveland Show, and Futurama. The shows join previously acquired seasons of South Park, Adventure Time, Rick and Morty, and more.
Since last year, Fox exec Dana Walden teased the possibility of a King of the Hill revival, noting that there had been “preliminary conversations†between the network and the show’s creators, but there have been no substantial updates about whether or not it’s actually happening. Speaking to Rotten Tomatoes back in March, Judge said he’d bring back the show only if it jumped forward in time. “People have grown up. I think The Simpsons are so iconic just the way they’re drawn, you can keep Bart that same age for 60 years. Our characters, it was starting to strain a little bit to have Bobby still be that age for so long,†he said. “Two hundred and seventy five episodes just wasn’t enough. We’ve talked about a way to bring it back. I think it would have to be different.â€
