Idris Elba has a very busy month ahead of him. First up he’ll be making his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on March 9 alongside musical guest Khalid. And then just a week after that, he heads to Netflix with the premiere of a new comedy series he co-created, produced, and stars in called Turn Up Charlie, which was ordered to series last year. In the show, Elba plays a DJ named Charlie, an “eternal bachelor who is given a final chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a manny to his famous best friend’s problem-child daughter.†Frankie Hervey, Piper Perabo, and J.J. Feild also show up in the eight-episode series, which makes its way to Netflix on Friday, March 15.
