Once upon a time, there was a movie called Flarsky in development that starred Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen. In case you missed the update, Flarsky was rebranded as The Long Shot, and now you can see the first trailer. It’s got a classic romantic-comedy premise: Theron plays Charlotte Field, the U.S. secretary of State who is about to make a run for president, and Rogen plays Fred Flarsky, a frumpy journalist she used to babysit when he was a kid, and who she takes on the campaign trail as her speechwriter, after they bump into one another at a party. Then it’s hijinks and hilarity as the feelings fly. Long Shot is directed by Rogen’s friend and collaborator Jonathan Levine, who has previously helmed 50/50 and The Night Before. The movie formerly known as Flarsky hits theaters on May 3.
