Jeopardy! Contestant Sets New Winnings Record and Has a Friend Named Booger

Jeopardy! contestant James Holzhauer set a new record for single-game winnings on Tuesday with a huge Final Jeopardy wager. He also wished happy birthday to someone named Booger, which, I think, is equally as important. Holzhauer took home $110,914 after wagering $38,314 during Final Jeopardy, and his four-day streak total stands at $244,365. What will he and Booger do with all that cash? Maybe they’ll enjoy some fine dining in Las Vegas, where he, and assumedly his friend Booger, are from. ESPN also learned that Holzhauer is an accomplished sports bettor, perhaps thanks to his bachelor’s degree in math. Maybe he met Booger in college? Alec Trebek hyped Holzhauer’s accomplishment even further by mentioning Ken Jennings, the man who won over $2.5 million in seven games in 2014. Holzhauer will look to chase that record when he returns to the game tomorrow night. Will Booger be there?
