Disney has done it. It’s hit the peak of the Marvel mountain. According to Variety, a Hawkeye-centric limited series is reportedly coming to Disney+, and it will star Jeremy Renner. The story is said to focus on his character, Clint Barton, handing the bows and arrows over to Kate Bishop, who succeeds him as Hawkeye in the comics. Bishop is also a member of the Young Avengers collective. Disney already has an ambitious TV slate in development for the forthcoming Disney+, including an untitled Loki series that will star Tom Hiddleston, and a possible Scarlet Witch series starring Elizabeth Olsen, but that one has not been officially confirmed. No matter, though, because right now it’s all about Renner Time.
