I don’t know if you’ve heard, but tonight is the last episode of Game of Thrones. Fans (like Janelle Monae) have been posting in anticipation of the finale, and so has the cast. These people have been embodying our problematic faves for ten years, and they’re pretty verklempt about saying good-bye. “Sansa, Thank you for teaching me resilience, bravery and what true strength really is,†Sophie Turner wrote on Instagram. “I grew up with you. I fell in love with you at 13 and now 10 years on … at 23 I leave you behind, but I will never leave behind what you’ve taught me.†And after his and Cersei’s anticlimactic last moments together in last week’s episode, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau said farewell to his sister-lover thusly: “The best, sweetest most wonderful sister from another mother @iamlenaheadey. That was a fun decade.â€
