Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran Do the Bear Maximum in the Music Video for ‘I Don’t Care’

Today, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran dropped the music video for “I Don’t Care,” their erstwhile song of summer, and it’s extremely “the internet” in quotation marks. Directed by Emil Nava, the playful, loopy music video sees Bieber and Sheeran goofing around in a variety of costumes in front of various green-screened settings, including but not limited to:

  • A banana on a Jet Ski
  • A panda at a pool party
  • A panda in space
  • A giant, dancing ear of corn in a cornfield
  • An ice cream cone running from a T. rex
  • A Pegasus centaur in a Windows 95 background
  • An Ed Sheeran with eyes made out of smaller Ed Sheerans

The whole vibe is very “lulz” and “#random,” hearkening back to a sweeter time on the internet, when Robot Unicorns Attacked and Grumpy Cat reigned supreme, bless her soul. It’s the sort of thing you might find on Paul Rudd’s computer. Plus, they throw in a little bit of yeehaw for good measure, because it’s still 2019. The collab comes after Bieber and Sheeran guested as a baboon and a koala, respectively, on Lil Dicky’s “Earth” music video.
