Exclusive: Polaroids From the Real Met Gala After-Party

If you did the Met Gala right this year, chances are you didn’t get home until about 4 or 5 o’clock in the morning. Better yet, you woke up covered in glitter, with feathers stuck to your body, and you didn’t even wear glitter or feathers. After the main event, which took place inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, guests shed their red-carpet outfits, Lady Gaga–style, and shuffled off to multiple different after-parties. Gucci threw one in the gymnasium of Hunter College. Ryan Murphy hosted another at Hudson Yards. Lizzo climbed atop the bar at the Boom Boom Room. And Moschino took over the Playboy Club. The “official” Met Gala after-party, though, was co-hosted by Kim Kardashian West and Serena Williams at Up & Down, the club where Rihanna threw her party last year.
