We’re certainly not telling you to not read all 448 pages of the report released by special counsel Robert Mueller in your spare time, but wouldn’t it be way more American to enjoy the investigation into potential Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election in the form of a play starring a ton of A-list stars? Enter The Investigation: A Search for the Truth in Ten Acts, a production from Law Works. Though, to be fair, a play that is ten whole acts long seems extremely un-American. Maybe more French? Or even German?
Either way, the star-studded cast features Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Annette Bening, Kevin Kline, Michael Shannon, and Alfre Woodard, among others. Written by Robert Schenkkan, a Best Play Tony winner for 2014’s All the Way, the play is, according to the Law Works’ website, “ripped from the pages of the Mueller report.†It’s also live-streaming tonight — Monday, June 24 — at 9 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. PDT (you can watch it here), which we’d like to think puts us squarely back on American footing.
