On Tuesday night Chance the Rapper decided to finally try his hand at being Chance the Comedian, taking the stage at a comedy open mic happening at the Laugh Factory in Chicago. He’d been in the audience for the show beforehand, and got roped into staying for the mic by having what every budding comedian needs most: a supportive spouse. “[M]y wife gassed me into doing 3 minutes,†he wrote in the caption of the video. “I had a lil heckler try to cut into my jokes but I made it through and conquered a fear of mine.†If he was afraid, he didn’t show it, even the impromptu audience participation didn’t seem to rattle him. Judging by this it may not be long before we find ourselves watching Chance the Netflix Special.
