Somehow, the universe found a way to give Harvey Weinstein yet another legal battle to fight. This time it’s with Frank Gil, the former director of human resources for The Weinstein Company. According to Variety, Gil filed the suit over a $450,000 payout he claims Harvey Weinstein promised him. Gil contends the money was offered to him after the now infamous New York Times piece on the producer ran, and Weinstein allegedly asked Gil to find out who the newspaper’s source had been within the company. The lawsuit claims Gil told Weinstein that it was former Weinstein company chairman Bob Weinstein and former company president David Glasser who had leaked information, but Harvey Weinstein was fired just two days before Gil was suspended and, he claims, forced out of the company. Gil is also suing Bob Weinstein and David Glasser for defamation that he claims has led to him being “blacklisted from the entertainment industry.â€
