[Squinting resolutely at the horizon] Vroom-vroom. 20th Century Fox dropped the first trailer for Ford v Ferrari on Sunday, perhaps the only film about the 1966 Le Mans World Championship that also features Matt Damon being set on fire. Damon stars as car designer Carroll Shelby, tasked with creating a Ford capable of loosening Enzo Ferrari’s hold on racing excellence, while Christian Bale lost 40 pounds of American accent to play daring British driver Ken Miles. Will the pair help Ford triumph over Ferrari? Sure, you could look it up, or you can just rest easy knowing you’ll be getting a ton of excellent racing footage and period costumes in the meantime. Ford v Ferarri, directed by James Mangold, opens on November 15.
