Well, we’re gonna have to lash out now by stealing some art for insurance money. And then orchestrate a perfect prison escape to avoid extradition. In an interview with Vulture to discuss his delightfully corrupt Stranger Things role in the new season, Cary Elwes revealed, sadly, that he won’t be reprising his role of Pierre Despereaux in the upcoming Psych: The Movie 2. “I’m not, I’m afraid. I’m sad to disappoint, but I’m not,†Elwes told us when asked. “I was busy shooting something else. It was a pity, but there you go.†The last time viewers crossed paths with Pierre was back in Psych’s final season in 2014, when it was teased that his character may or may not have been an undercover Interpol agent the entire time of knowing Shawn and Gus. Sure, the lack of Elwes is a bit of a bummer, but let’s not forget all the good stuff the film sequel has to offer: It’s described as a “vintage Psych-style Hitchcockian nod†with the entire main cast joining forces for a “personal†case in Santa Barbara, including the great Timothy Omundson, who had to unexpectedly drop out of the first film due to a stroke. It’s set to be released on USA later this year.

Sadly, Cary Elwes Won’t Be in the Psych Movie Sequel
