Earlier this year it was announced that Amazon was getting into the stand-up business by adding its first-ever special from Jim Gaffigan, and now it has a premiere date and a trailer. Titled Jim Gaffigan: Quality Time, the special was taped during the comedian’s performance at the State Theatre in Minneapolis back in March and is directed by his wife and collaborator, writer-producer Jeannie Gaffigan. The trailer released today reveals just a few of the topics Gaffigan covers during his set, including responding to invitations with honesty (“Completely available, just not interestedâ€), lying to children, and how his stand-up audiences’ response to jokes about his weight have, well, changed a bit over the years. Quality Time marks Gaffigan’s seventh special overall, following last year’s Noble Ape released by Comedy Dynamics.
