Lil Nas X saw Billie Eilish’s Justin Bieber “bad guy†remix and raised her a double remix. Late Thursday night, the “Old Town Road†singer dropped a new remix of his all-pervasive summer hit, infusing his previous Billy Ray Cyrus–enhanced version with Young Thug and the yodeling Walmart kid himself, Mason Ramsey. There’s no other, cooler way to say this: Mason’s verse is the best and he kills it? “If you ain’t got no giddy up/Then giddy out my way?†Wonderful. If this is the future of chart success, and remixes upon remixes start piling up, then everyone else needs to play catch-up, because Lil Nas X is a thousand acres ahead of y’all.
