Olivia Wilde got in that directorâs chair and said, Iâm telling you Iâm not going! Variety reports Wilde will helm a domestic thriller called Donât Worry, Darling, and her Booksmart scribe Katie Silberman will handle the rewrites of its preexisting script. (The original version was written by Shane and Carey Van Dyke.) The plot centers on an unhappy housewife in the 1950s, which seems like a rich foundation for mining the terror out of a repressed heroine. And we donât want to tell anyone how to do their job, but maybe find a role for Beanie Feldstein again? Or Billie Lourd? Just consider it.
