Everything free in America — maybe even the nonprofit broadcast documentaries! Rita Moreno, a PEGOT icon and the newest recipient of Vulture’s Best Supporting Actor on TV honors, is being recognized with her very own PBS doc set to debut in 2020. Per the network, The Girl Who Decided to Go for It will chronicle Moreno’s storied career “using vérité footage of Moreno today, archival footage of her roles and appearances, and reenactments of her childhood,†as well as interviews with Moreno alongside her peers. (A select sample: Lin Manuel-Miranda, Norman Lear, Morgan Freeman, Eva Longoria, and Gloria Estefan.) Maybe she’ll pee herself while the camera rolls — who can say?
