A24 is adding another family drama to its portfolio alongside films like The Farewell and Hereditary. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Steven Yeun will star in and executive-produce Minari, which is written and directed by Isaac Chung and based on his family’s experience of emigrating from South Korea to find opportunity in the United States. More specifically, they relocated to a piece of farmland in rural Arkansas, where the movie will also take place. Yeun will play the father of the family and will be joined by Yeri Han, Youn Yuh-Jung, Will Patton, and Scott Haze, among others. This will be Yeun’s first time producing, and no doubt a breakout role for him as a hot dad.
