Surprise! Bon Iver’s fourth album, i,i, is being released digitally today, a full three weeks ahead of the original August 30 release date. Every song except the intro track “Yi†is available to be streamed now. According to a release, the full album will be available later tonight. Physical copies of the album will still come out on August 30 through Jagjaguwar. i,i is the fourth and final installment of a cycle of albums representing the changing seasons, according to a statement. “The thirteen new songs on i,i complete a cycle: from the winter of For Emma, Forever Ago came the frenetic spring of Bon Iver, Bon Iver, and the unhinged summer of 22, A Million,†reads Bon Iver’s website. “Now, fall arrives early with i,i.†i,i boasts collaborations with James Blake, Moses Sumney, Wheezy, Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner, and Bruce Hornsby.
