“Act like you own the place,†urges the poster for Bong Joon-ho’s twisty new thriller Parasite. The movie is a tale of two Korean families and their sometimes grotesque, sometimes hilarious dealings with one another: Through a little luck and sweet-talking, all the members of the impoverished Kim family end up working for the wealthy Park family. First son, and then daughter, and then their two parents infiltrate the Park family’s home, posing as tutors, a driver, and a housekeeper, to collect checks. When the Park family decides to go on a last-minute camping trip, things at home go haywire for both families. Parasite scored director Bong the Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. See it in theaters October 11. Parasite hive, unite!
