Shailene Woodley has joined the cast of the upcoming independent crime drama After Exile, in which she will likely do a lot of mumbling and brooding alongside Shia LaBeouf and Robert De Niro. The movie will follow an ex-con (LaBeouf), who is released from prison after a violent robbery, and his father (De Niro). Woodley is set to play a childhood friend of LaBeouf’s character. Joshua Michael Stern, director of the Steve Jobs biopic Jobs (that’s the Ashton Kutcher one), is set to direct. No word yet as to exactly how much sad murmuring and sighing is going to take place in the film, but watch this space for updates.
