Finally, after countless hours trying to imagine what Chalamet looks like in armor and what Robert Pattinson looks like in his “frilly frock,†The King trailer is here. “A new chapter of my life has begun,†Chalamet says in his ASMR-ready English accent. “And already I can feel the weight of this crown I wear.†Chalamet plays the titular role, forced to leave his wayward life with Joel Edgerton’s Falstaff and become King Henry V just as tensions rise with the “playfully obstinate†French heir apparent (Pattinson). Battles ensue, lies are told, everything you ignored during freshman year summer reading goes down, but this time teen heartthrobs are doing it. Ben Mendelsohn, Sean Harris, and Lily-Rose Depp co-star. This adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Henry IV (parts one and two) and Henry V is directed by David Michôd and co-written by Michôd and Edgerton.
