Two comedians who debuted stand-up specials on Netflix this year are teaming up for a family comedy at the streaming network. Netflix announced today that Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps have signed on to produce and star in a multi-cam comedy titled The Upshaws, which follows “a working-class African American family in Indiana struggling to make it work and make it right without the blueprints to do it.†Regina Hicks (Insecure) is attached to serve as showrunner.

Sykes most recently debuted her first Netflix comedy special, Not Normal, back in May and also co-produced the new Netflix stand-up series They Ready alongside Tiffany Haddish. Epps, meanwhile, debuted his own Netflix special, Only One Mike, in June and appears in the upcoming Rudy Ray Moore film Dolemite Is My Name starring Eddie Murphy, which will premiere on Netflix sometime this fall. Netflix, Netflix, Netflix, Netflix! (We just wanted to use the word Netflix ten times in one article.)
