During last nightâs Late Night, Seth Meyers welcomed back writers Amber Ruffin and Jenny Hagel for a new round of âJokes Seth Canât Tell,â and as usual, the punch lines covered a little bit of everything. Like lesbian penguins, the Popeyes chicken sandwich (ââItâs too spicy!â said white people about the bunâ), lesbiansâ love for quick commitment, and the news that DC Comics will introduce a black Batman (âlike regular Batman, except he only responds to the Wu-Tang symbolâ). Ruffin also offered up some important knowledge when Meyers brought up a news story about why there are so many black squirrels in the U.S. âIt turns out they were brought here against their will to prop up the economic system set up by white squirrels. You can learn more about it in the film 12 Years a Squirrel,â she said. âSorry, did you think that joke was gonna work?â Meyers asked. âMuch like the people who organized the slave trade,â Ruffin responds, âI didnât really put a lot of thought into the consequences.â
