I Love This Google Sponcon … I Mean Carly Rae Jepsen Video

Carly Rae Jepsen’s latest music video is here and it’s delightful. She’s back, dancing in her underwear to “Want You in My Room,†off her album Dedicated. (It’s a Jack Antonoff-produced track because it’s 2019 and of course it is.) She’s got her saxophonist dressed up as a sentient giant plant. She’s got a sheer blue robe that serves excellent animated-Olivia Newton John-as-an-animated-Sandy-in-the-opening-credits-of-Grease vibes. (Andrew Donoho directed the video.) She’s got a pink Google Home — excuse me, Google Home Mini — she uses to set a one-hour timer at the beginning of the video, while she preps for a hot date. Said prep happens in her bedroom, at the beach, and, uh, at the park. Because she’s Carly Rae Jepsen and she contains glittery, pastel multitudes. Hey Google, play “Want You in My Room.â€
