Please allow Vulture to say, when Céline Dion is emotionally and spiritually ready to reenter the dating pool at the time of her choosing, we are here for you. Because, in an unusually candid interview with Today to announce the newest phase of her music career (three new songs and world tour!), the songstress admitted that she’s been consistently struggling with loneliness after the death of her husband, René Angélil, in 2016. “I don’t date. I’m not ready to date,” she explained. “I’m very lucky and happy to have so many people in my surrounding to make me — they make me laugh, but I miss to be touched. I miss to be hugged. I missed to be told, ‘You’re beautiful.’ I miss what a boyfriend and I miss what a husband would do.” In the meantime, we can also offer some very nice hugs.

Dion’s new trio of power ballads, “Courage,” “Lying Down,” and “Imperfections,” are selections from her upcoming album Courage, which is set to be released on November 15 — perfectly timed to wreck you and your family for Thanksgiving. “When I lost René, he wanted me back onstage,” Dion explained about her decision to tour again, now that her famed Las Vegas residency is over. “He wanted to make sure I was still practicing my passion, and I wanted to prove to him that I’m fine. We’re fine; we’re going to be okay. I got this.” You can listen to all of her new songs here.
