Having already made one modern Christmas classic, Will Ferrell is back with an even bigger, shinier box for you next holiday season, and inside? Why, it’s the actor Ryan Reynolds! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair are teaming up to develop a new musical “reimagining†of Charles Dickens’s iconic 1843 tale, A Christmas Carol. There’s no word which roles Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds will play in the movie, which will be written and directed by Sean Anders and John Morris of Daddy’s Home fame, but Ebenezer Scrooge and Bob Cratchit seem like the natural fit. Add it to the list alongside 1988’s Scrooged and 1992’s The Muppet Christmas Carol, and you have the three movies that will haunt all your future Christmas Eves right there.
