Rejoice, fans of The Walking Dead, for the past is not dead, it isn’t even past. Early news of The Walking Dead returning for its 11th season hit New York Comic Con today before its tenth season debuts this Sunday night. Even more surprising than that, however, was the unexpected return of former star Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene to the show. Her character has not been on the The Walking Dead since season nine, before the show made a six-year time jump. The news of the renewal as well as Cohan’s return was announced at a panel for The Walking Dead that included series regulars as well as show runner Angela Kang.
