Chance the Rapper previously served as an SNL musical guest in 2016 and an SNL host in 2017, so it was only a matter of time before he signed on to pull double duty, which just so happens to be for the show’s Halloween episode. In the first promo for Chance’s SNL return, he’s joined by cast member Ego Nwodim and later Kyle Mooney for a short clip in which he gets the opportunity to show off his pumpkin skills — of both the carving and soup-making variety. Hopefully, things will get a little spookier than this promo when Chance the Rapper’s SNL episode airs this weekend, but with the show’s Joker parody about Oscar the Grouch already out in the world, the bar for creepiness has been set pretty high.
