The stars are blind, but they know what they’re doing. Elle and Dakota Fanning are attached to executive-produce a TV series alongside Paris Hilton based on her best-selling book, Paris: The Memoir. The dream project, optioned by A24, is still in the early stages with no writer or talent attached, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start fan casting. The requirements for emulating the princess of paparazzi and hotel heiress aren’t set in stone, but the actresses we considered all shared a few qualities: tall-ish, willing to go blonde (as seen in past project or photoshoots), and possess a knowingly vacant stare. A Simple Life bootcamp isn’t a requirement, but it will earn them extra points.
Sophie Turner
By the power of spray-tanning, contour, and Anastasia Beverly Hills, Sophie Turner would be the spitting image of Hilton. Her versatility as an actress, however, is what will land her the role — which presumably includes Hilton’s allegations she was coerced into making a sex tape as well as the glitz and glam.
Julia Garner
We know Julia Garner loves a weird accent, and her tackling Hilton’s signature baby-voice could be one of her finest acting challenges yet.
Anya Taylor-Joy
A gorgeous girl with fathoms of internal conflict? A front-runner!
Sydney Sweeney
At the Emmys, they’ll play a scene of her effortlessly conveying the tension of going from a sheltered conservative upbringing into the overexposure of Y2K media and the whole time she’s wearing a magenta Juicy Couture sweatsuit.
Zoey Deutch
As nepo babies like to remind us, they are a minority. So, in the spirit of representation, Howard Deutch and Lea Thompson’s daughter would slive. The bone structure is there, the hair and height we can work on, but this time, it really is who you know.
Kaia Gerber
Two inches taller than Paris Hilton … That’s gotta count for something.
