Look around, everybody (cell phones) on mute. Taylor Swift isn’t the only artist making deals with AMC Theatres. Beyoncé will bring the best-selling tour by a female artist to the big screens this winter. Reportedly shot at her Houston concert — a.k.a. the same concert with Megan Thee Stallion, Variety claims that CAA held preliminary talks with studios for a project that includes elements of her concert tour, a visual album (finally!), and a behind-the-scenes documentary. However, there’s no confirmation on what exactly the theatrical release will include and if the other elements are a part of her previous deal with Netflix or other possible streamers. So what exactly can we expect from Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé?

Bey gave us a new song for it.

On Friday, just ahead of the movie’s opening weekend, Beyoncé surprise-dropped “My House,†which is featured in the end credits. Over drums, horns, and synths, Bey delivers lyrics that are the perfect anthem for when your social battery is running low but people just won’t leave: “Get the fuck up out of my house,†she declares.

The trailers are our first official taste of Renaissance visuals.

“Be careful what you ask for and I just might comply,†Beyoncé captioned an Instagram post of the film’s worldwide first trailer upon its October 2 release, a fitting lyric from her underrated Renaissance hit “All Up in Your Mind.†What we’ve been asking for is visuals. Now, we’re getting them, even if they are not the music videos we’ve been begging for. “When I am performing, I am nothing but free,†she says in the first trailer. “The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged.†The look at Beyoncé’s upcoming audiovisual extravaganza is far more straightforward. We see a mix of iconic costumes and screaming fans, shot in Beyoncé’s Homecoming documentary style.

Beyoncé gave the Beyhive something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving by dropping another official trailer, which she previewed during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The new 2-minute trailer shows Bey doing everything from problem-solving backstage to hanging out with both sets of her twins, interspersed with shots of stage choreography, the crowd, and guest performers like Megan Thee Stallion and Kendrick Lamar. “I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point,†Beyoncé says. “We are creating our own world… This is my reward. Nobody can take that away from me.â€

The BeyHive will get a taste of the tour’s entire journey.

Beyoncé is once again letting us plebs into her process. This time, she’s training her camera on the Renaissance tour from its early stages, the European rehearsals leg, to its final bow in Kansas City, Missouri, earlier this month. “It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft,†the press release read, per The Hollywood Reporter. “Beyoncé’s outstanding performance during Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, acceptance, and shared joy. Its maximalist production welcomed more than 2.7 million fans from around the world, who traveled across oceans to enjoy Club Renaissance. Now, millions of moviegoers will get caught up in the Joy Parade, the monumental dance party that celebrates everyone’s right to be themselves, close to home.â€

The concert film will be an early Christmas gift for us all.

The Renaissance concert film will be premiere in Los Angeles on November 25. The dress code is “cozy opulence,†according to reports. Its international premiere takes place in London on November 30 with those lucky enough to breathe the same air as Beyoncé urged to adhere to a dress code of “formal opulence.†Everyone else can catch the film on December 1 with tickets available at BeyonceFilm.com. Y’all better be prepared to do the mute challenge at your seats out of respect for the Queen.
