Bryan Ferry and Nine Inch Nails Made Some Foxy Music

This man took a look at the parka and mod-haircut frenzy going on across the pond and said, There’s more than this, lads. Bryan Ferry has returned with his first original song in over a decade, “Star,†which features Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails as collaborators. (Their specific contribution is described as the song’s “sketch,†which makes sense, given it sounds more like the industrial Year Zero than the atmospheric Avalon. Not that we’re complaining!) Also on vocals is Amelia Barratt, a recent friend of Ferry’s who turns “Star†into a proper duet. In a statement, Ferry teased “there’s a lot more to come†with new music, which will coincide with the release of his massive retrospective box set on October 25. That’s great and all, but do you think he and Brian Eno can work it out on a remix?
