ShÅgun and The Bear Lead 2024 Emmy Nominations

It’s prime time to hear the Primetime Emmy Nominees. The nominations were revealed on July 17 by previous winners Tony Hale and Sheryl Lee Ralph — two people who don’t really make sense together but who both have connections to Beyoncé, so maybe that’s what their small talk was about. It’s an especially interesting and potentially wacky year given the lack of previous nominees eligible in the major categories. Still, the expected big winners did, in fact, dominate. The most nominated show of the year was FX’s ShÅgun, with an impressive 25 nods. ShÅgun’s sisters on Hulu followed closely behind. FX’s The Bear got 23 nominations, and Only Murders in the Building earned 21. It’s a big year for big green. The Emmys will be awarded on September 15, marking the second ceremony in 2024, owing to the Writers Guild of America strike. Below, the full list of prime-time nominees.
