That Babygirl Milk Scene Wasn’t Totally Fiction

People are really drinking milk in public, huh? Babygirl director Halina Reijn took inspiration from her own life for the spicy dinner scene in the film with Nicole Kidman. Guess it was so spicy it required a tall glass of milk. Reijn tells Indiewire that after a show in Belgium, she went to a bar by herself and ran into a Belgian actor “at least 15 years younger than” her, who ordered a glass of milk. “I thought it was an incredible, hot thing to do, and so courageous, and so I wanted to reward him by drinking the whole thing, and I did,” Reijn admitted before reminding us why people don’t typically drink milk in public. “It did make me a little nauseated, to be honest with you, because it was cow milk. It was back in the day.” A glass of oat milk definitely wouldn’t have been as sexy but at least there wouldn’t be a tummy ache.
