Zendaya has been everywhere lately — on the tennis court for Challengers, on Arrakis for Dune: Part Two, in Ithaca for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming The Odyssey. Against all odds, she even made it back to the Euphoria set! And between it all, she also made time for a trip to the swamp, joining Shrek 5 as Shrek’s daughter. Move over, Meechee! There’s even a first look at Zendaya’s teen-girl ogre — red hair, bangs, and all — in a new teaser for the movie. In the clip, the mirror is scrolling through some thirst-trap pics of Shrek, before his instantly embarrassed daughter walks in. “Ew, Dad! Bleh,” says Zendaya, revealing the first layer of her onion-like new character. The clip also gives our first looks at Mike Myers’s Shrek, Eddie Murphy’s Donkey, and Cameron Diaz’s Fiona since 2010’s Shrek Forever After. But we’ll have to wait a little longer for the whole thing, with Shrek 5 not premiering until Christmas 2026. On the other hand: Think of all the memes we can make in the meantime.
