Imagine you hire someone to clean up your at-home murder and the company sends two colleagues who won’t stop bickering. How exhausting. This kind of maddening situation occurs in the trailer for Apple TV+’s Wolfs, an unlikely buddy comedy starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Though it’s a reunion for the pair (they starred opposite in the Oceans movies and the Coen brothers’ silly flick Burn After Reading among others), that doesn’t mean their characters in Wolfs get along. Pitt and Clooney play professional fixers unknowingly hired to clean up the same murder. Too bad they’re also nemeses. “We clearly have a situation here,†their boss says when they lodge a complaint. “We have decided that the only course of action is for your both to work together.†What was supposed to be an easy job turns difficult when the body starts wiggling in the trunk, revealing the cocaine bricks in his possession. “It gonna be a long night,†Pitt sighs. Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan also star in the Jon Watts–directed film. The two lone Wolfs howl together starting on September 20. Awooo!
