The biggest shopping week of the year has come and gone, which usually poses an issue for me as your fearless deals finder: Rarely are there any worthy discounts after big sales events. But to my surprise, plenty of items that were on sale last weekend are somehow still on sale — looking at you, Bissell carpet cleaner — and I also found that a few retailers, like Madewell, are offering new deals that are just as good as last week’s, if not better.
If you shop just one sale from today’s post, make it Sephora’s. All Sephora Insiders (it’s free to become one) get a one-time 20 percent discount on their entire cart until December 15th, which is a much better deal than most Insiders got during Sephora’s sale last month. I’ve included some can’t-miss picks below, and writer Arielle Avila has put together a guide on everything worth buying from Sephora’s Gifts for All Event.
Speaking of gifts, Christmas is less than three weeks away, so the entire Strategist team is laser-focused on updating holiday gift guides right now. I’ve been reading all of them and rounding up the gifts they’ve recommended that are on sale right now. I’ve included a few of my favorites below, including some items from Mya Gelber’s new gift guide.
As always, make sure to sign up for the new Strategist Sales Alert newsletter to receive each day’s best deals in your inbox. And if you want even more deals, sign up for our regular email newsletter, which includes deals just for newsletter subscribers.
At 40 percent off, this deal on Clinique’s barely-there lipstick is sure to go quickly. But if it does sell out at Clinique, it’s 20 percent off at Sephora, too.
I have an older, handle-less version of this Hydro Flask travel mug, and it’s by far the most-used drink receptacle in my kitchen. My mom “borrowed” it from me for the entirety of her visit for Thanksgiving, so I’m thinking of gifting her one for Christmas.
Buy this if you have pets that like to chew on the real thing (or kids you need to keep busy during winter break).
A cute stocking for a cat-obsessed kid (or Fluffy himself).
And here are some perfect-height socks to go in their stocking.
Madewell’s post–Cyber Monday sale got even better yesterday, with some items, including a few pairs of shoes, getting even cheaper. We’ve never seen these loafers for 60 percent off — just make sure you use the code CHEERS at checkout.
Already-on-sale items are an extra 50 percent off with the same code, making this fluffy-collared coat only $80.
Gift-y items are up to 40 percent off at Anthropologie right now. Give this blanket-like cardigan to your aunt who’s always cold.
I may just buy this delightful throw as an early gift to myself.
Sale items are an extra 40 percent off at checkout at Anthro, too, so this sweet and seasonal tea towel is only $9.
All cozy items are 30 percent off at Everlane right now. This isn’t a horrific price for cashmere!
Everlane’s vintage-y mom jeans are also part of the sale and are in stock in all sizes in three washes.
I also noticed that some items from Everlane’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale are still deeply discounted, including this warm-looking hoodie that’d make a great gift.
This roomy anorak is still on sale, too. It comes in three colors: Black and khaki are on sale for $124, while the mustard shade pictured here is just $99.
From now through December 15, all Sephora Insiders (it’s free to become one) get a onetime 20 percent discount on their entire cart. Rare Beauty rarely goes on sale, so I’d pick up its excellent cream blush quick. For even more, writer Arielle Avila has put together a guide on everything worth buying from Sephora’s Gifts for All Event.
Sephora Collection products are 30 percent off as part of the sale, too. According to Sephora employees, this glossy lip balm is a good dupe for pricier Fenty glosses and even the Dior lip oil.
Since Glossier’s stocking-stuffer-ready duo is already on sale, it’s doubly discounted when you apply the code.
Same goes for the brand’s flat iron, although it’s only on sale in this (really lovely) strawberry shade.
Lunya’s sleep mask for side sleepers is on sale in black and navy blue at Nordstrom.
With even more holiday travel looming, I was delighted to find some nice bags on sale at Shopbop for under $100.
Mya Gelber’s new gift guide is full of sophisticated picks, and I found a few on sale. She recommends this “sleek yet practical” everyday wristwatch for anyone on your list.
Gelber plans to gift this set of non-fugly handkerchiefs to some of the suit-wearing individuals in her life.
DockATot’s cushy cotton play mat, which is great for tummy time and lounging, is 25 percent off at Target. (Note that the discount will only show up once you add it to your cart.)
L.O.L. Surprise! dolls are still some of the most requested toys among elementary-school-age kids. This mermaid doll has a tail that changes color in water and comes with sunglasses, a tiara, and a pearl belt.
This farmhouse for toddlers offers all of the fun of a full-size dollhouse, but it closes up when it’s not in use to save space.
Playmobil’s hockey-arena set comes with four figures, each with a movable arm and hockey stick that you pull back to shoot the puck down the rink.
This is the lowest price that our favorite carpet cleaner ever goes for.
These lovely coupe glasses for holiday cocktails are just over $10 apiece.
OXO’s coffee grinder takes just 30 seconds to grind whole beans. The hopper is UV-blocking (so leaving whole beans in there won’t age them) and the top of the machine comes off very easily to rinse clean.
An inexpensive net for the boyfriend practicing his chip shots.
