If you haven’t noticed, we’ve had UGGs on the brain lately. In the past couple of weeks, we reviewed Ultra Minis, tried some fuggs, and even spotted new UGG Mary Janes. Today, we found an especially appealing pair on sale: the UGG Venture Daze boots, which are currently 30 percent off, bringing the price down to $126 from the original $180. Strategist senior editor Jen Trolio recommended the pair in the Strategist slack channel earlier this week, saying that compared to the Ultra Minis in her wardrobe, these are her “inclement weather UGGs.” That’s because the boots have extra traction and a bouncy sole that Trolio says is similar to that of a running shoe. Plus, she says, the sole lifts her off the ground, giving her some much needed separation from snow and slush. Just note: Like most UGGs, these don’t come in half-sizes. Trolio, an 8.5, usually wears an 8 in UGGs, but she sized up in these because she was worried about her toes feeling crunched in the less flexible silhouette. “For a hot second, I thought I made the wrong call,” she says. “But with socks I’m doing fine with the 9s.”
