Extremely cold temperatures and severe winter weather continue to hit the entire country, so I’ve spent some time digging around the internet’s sales bins to find deals to keep you toasty. Luckily, there are actually quite a lot of nice-looking warm things on sale right now, including Everlane puffers for 70 percent off, Pendleton sweaters, and flannel bedding from Parachute. Scroll on to find my picks for bundling up without breaking the bank. And for even more daily deals, be sure to sign up for the Strategist Sales Alert.
Rarely do we see Patagonia parkas for this cheap. This one is 40 percent off and comes in three nice colors — pine green, tan, and the navy pictured here.
A parka that promises not to swish (and it comes in black, which I find to be a rare occurrence during Patagonia sales).
This retro-inspired hooded puffer has been very popular with Strategist readers.
Streamlined fleece that never looks schlubby.
The “forever relevant” Denali fleece jacket is one of the best you can get for under $200.
This recycled-down bomber is even cheaper now than it was last week — 70 percent off (it was 60 percent off earlier this month). Its key feature is a two-way zipper.
I wore an older version of this butt-covering puffer on a very cold trip to northern Sweden in December a few years ago.
A very select number of Aritzia’s Super Puff jackets are on sale for 30 percent off, which is just about the best deal you’ll ever find on them. Sizing and colors are quite limited, but this slightly cropped option still has most sizes available in the discounted colors (powder pink, pale gray, and burgundy).
If you can’t find an on-sale coat in a color you like, the matching mittens are a cute consolation prize!
Primary’s machine washable puffer jacket is delightfully retro.
Here’s an option that’s less heavy-duty — and comes in a rainbow of colors!
In rare form for Cotopaxi, I found a (relatively) neutral pullover on sale.
An option for kids, though I think the XL size could fit a small adult, too!
Here’s a handsome shacket that’s office appropriate.
I also love this all-wool sweater, which comes in dark blue, spice, and stone (pictured here).
I’ve found Richer Poorer’s sweaters and sweatshirts to be very comfortable. This one has a particularly nice collar and sleeves and comes in gray, navy blue, and olive green.
If you’re looking for layers, you can’t beat our best overall black turtleneck.
This henley is cute, too — and only $11!
This scarf is made from CashSoft, Gap’s cashmerelike fabric that Strategist staffers can’t stop wearing.
Another really good deal on a blanketlike scarf, this time from Madewell. It comes in heathered brown, ivory, and teal (pictured here).
Or take this opportunity to get your hands on something fully cashmere for under $50.
This wool-and-hemp version is even cheaper at $15 in select colors. (Black is the cheapest at $13.)
REI has several inexpensive Smartwool hats (in an array of pastels) in its sale section.
Strategist contributor Youngna Park’s kids love this hat because it’s “not too puffy” and can still fit easily under the hood of their ski jackets. “The wool wicks sweat off their heads and does a good job of repelling the stink after lots of wear,” she writes.
A set of inexpensive gloves and a hat that won’t be too devastating a loss if they leave it on the playground.
Nice wool hiking socks for keeping your feet extra toasty.
These suede-and-shearling booties from Eileen Fisher are a steal for the brand at over 60 percent off.
Barefoot Dreams makes “the softest blankets I have ever owned,” according to Sydney Sweeney. Now they’re available at a price non-celebrities can afford, too.
This throw from the Company Store features sherpa on one side and plush fleece on the other.
I highly recommend investing in a wool mattress pad. They provide an extra layer of warmth and cushioning, making your bed cozy during the winter months.
Parachute’s cozy flannel bedding is all 20 percent off, but note that top sheets are out of stock at this time. (Good news for fitted-sheet-only evangelists.)
I might buy just this set of pillowcases.
The shams are also quite nice-looking.
For those with winter camping plans, something to keep you warm outside at night.
