We know. You’ve waited years, perhaps decades, for Hollywood to bring the excitement and wonder of mall-based law enforcement to the silver screen — and now they finally have! But before you spend your valuable entertainment dollars on Kevin James’s latest masterpiece, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, this weekend, you should probably be aware that a slightly better-looking mall-cop movie is in the pipeline: The Seth Rogen–starring, Jody Hill–directed dark comedy Observe and Report will premiere at Austin’s SXSW Film Festival in March, says Film School Rejects. According to ecstatic reviews from early test screenings, Rogen plays a racist security guard engaged in a turf war with a police detective (Ray Liotta) over a case involving a mall flasher (possibly played by either Anna Faris or Aziz Ansari, who are also in the cast). Not that Paul Blart: Mall Cop won’t be good too!
