It’s been a little over 36 hours since word first surfaced that actress Natasha Richardson had been seriously injured in a freak skiing accident. Since that time, reports of wildly varying degrees of believability have circulated throughout the media regarding her condition, but as we sit here on Wednesday morning, sadly, things are looking grave. Richardson was flown from Canada to New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital yesterday afternoon, where her family members — including her husband Liam Neeson, mother Vanessa Redgrave, and sister Joely Richardson — have gathered together. While there has yet to be any official comment released by either Richardson’s family or the hospital, the NYDN is reporting that the actress is “brain-dead†and People is on record saying that “there is no chance†that she will survive the brain trauma that resulted when she fell during a ski lesson on Monday. We will continue to keep you updated as new details come to light about this terribly sad story.
