This Is It (The New Michael Jackson Song, That Is)

Hey, a new Michael Jackson song, sort of! To promote his upcoming hurriedly cobbled-together concert movie, This Is It, Sony has released the film’s title track, an old demo to which strings and backing vocals have been hastily added. It’s not bad, we guess — the melody sounds like the result of a mating between “Human Nature� and “Heal the World,� though Jackson’s vocals are as affecting as ever. But if this is the first song out of the vault, maybe we shouldn’t get our hopes too high for a coming flood of posthumous albums. Listen below.
