Boom! Well, it finally happened: Jeff Zucker, the chief executive of NBC, has been shown the door. NBC’s new owners Comcast have decided not to stick with Zucker, who has been president and CEO since 2007, overseeing NBCU’s 28 percent fall in profitability between 2008 and 2009, the tenure of Ben Silverman, and the network’s move into its current last-place position. Zucker’s exit, which he admits is not his choice, will go down when the Comcast deal is approved, which should be at the end of the year. Point, Kabletown. [Media Decoder NYT]
