Give Willow Shields your congratulations: Though the young actress has got only two television credits to her name, she’s just been cast in the pivotal role of Prim, the sister to Katniss Everdeen who sets the entire plot into motion, in Gary Ross’s big-screen adaptation of The Hunger Games. The production also cast two more relative unknowns — Leven Rambin as Glimmer and Jack Quaid (son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid) as Marvel — to fill out the rest of the cast, which will be headed by Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson. Since the premise of Hunger Games is about an event that makes obscure kids into enormous stars, that casting strategy seems fitting. [Heat Vision/HR]
