Hollywood A-lister Bruce Willis is currently in talks to play General Joe Colton in Paramount’s G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation. In the old comic books, the Colton character created the G.I. Joe strike force and is considered the original Joe. Willis would be joining actors Dwayne “the Rock†Johnson and Adrianne “the Tyra Collette†Palicki, who have both signed on to the project. A sequel to 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, the film will be directed by Jon Chu, whose previous work includes two Step Up movies and every tween’s favorite documentary, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Channing Tatum will return to the franchise to reprise his role from Rise of Cobra. The second G.I. Joe is scheduled to be released in June 2012. [THR]
