Adam Shankman cast half of Hollywood in the movie version of Rock of Ages, but some fans were still livid: Why, they wondered, had he neglected to offer a role to professional “Bohemian Rhapsody†singer Constantine Maroulis, who played the lead in Rock of Ages when it debuted on Broadway? Shankman explained that the 35-year-old Maroulis was too old for the movie role (which went to 20-year-old Diego Gonzalez Boneta), but now it seems everything has worked out: Shankman tweeted a picture of Maroulis on the movie set yesterday, where he’ll be cameoing as a presumably 35-year-old record producer. Congrats! [Deadline]
