Though Steven Soderbergh keeps claiming that he wants to get out of the movie industry, it always pulls him back in. The latest? According to the Playlist, he has joined up with his friend Gary Ross and will be shooting second-unit photography for Ross’s highly anticipated franchise-starter The Hunger Games — this, despite the fact that Soderbergh has two completed films of his own he’ll be promoting soon (Contagion debuts in October, while Haywire arrives in January), as well as another movie, the Channing Tatum–Alex Pettyfer stripper dramedy Magic Mike, that will begin shooting in a few months. Some people just aren’t good with down time, we guess. [Playlist]
