HBO’s no-longer-rumored but yet-to-be-official adaptation of Jonathan Franzen’s 2001 novel The Corrections is a go. The cable network will be moving forward with the pilot, Deadline reports. Oscar winners Dianne Wiest and Chris Cooper star as the Midwestern couple in the twentieth century who struggle with his Parkinson’s disease and seek to reconnect with their three adult children. The pilot was co-written by Franzen and Noah Baumbach, who will direct. The pair executive produced along with Scott Rudin. [Deadline]
