Howard Stern is in talks to replace outgoing buzzer-pusher Piers Morgan as the new judge for America’s Got Talent, The Wall Street Journal reports. Stern had talked about replacing Simon Cowell on American Idol early last year, so this isn’t completely out of the blue. It’s just … mostly out of the blue, given that those rumors seemed to be an effort to get more money from Sirius. If he gets the gig, Stern would have to channel his family-friendliest self to sit alongside Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne and offer eager contestants constructive criticism and pithy guidance. It’s not easy to stop talking about breasts for even a few hours a week, but for a reported $15 million, maybe Howard Stern would find the strength.
